Enable POS and set up locations

Point of Sale is enabled once for the store, but stock, staff access, receipts, pickups, and returns are controlled by location.

Enable Point of Sale

1. From the StoreMink dashboard, select Point of Sale.
2. If the store is not on Pro, select Upgrade to Pro and complete the plan change.
3. Select Enable POS.
4. The Point of Sale workspace now shows its POS tools. Open Locations from the top-level dashboard navigation to manage shops and warehouses.

Turning POS off later stops new register work but does not delete locations, staff, stock, receipts, or earlier sales.

Prepare a selling location

1. Open Locations.
2. Create a shop or open an existing location.
3. Add the location name, type, complete address, GSTIN, GST state code, and receipt prefix as needed.
4. Make sure the location is active.
5. Turn on Sell here.
6. Save the location.

Choose location capabilities

• Sell here allows StoreMink POS at that location.
• Fulfil online orders makes the location eligible to supply website delivery orders. StoreMink will not let you turn off the last online-fulfilment location.
• Customer pickup lets shoppers choose the shop at checkout and depends on Sell here.
• Accept returns allows eligible website orders to be returned at this shop and depends on Sell here.
• Receive stock allows inbound receiving at the location.
• Transfer stock allows stock transfers involving the location.

Included and additional locations

Pro includes two locations. When you reach the allowance, the Locations page shows the current price for another location. Additional locations require an active subscription payment method and enough authorised recurring-payment capacity. Releasing an unused paid location takes effect at the end of the billing cycle; StoreMink never silently deletes a shop.

Location access for dashboard staff

An admin with no assigned locations can see the whole store. An admin assigned to particular locations sees only those locations' orders and stock. Typing another location into a URL does not widen access.
