Troubleshoot Analytics
Resolve zero values, unexpected totals, missing cards, delayed Google Search data, unavailable reports, and slow or failed dashboard loads.
Most Analytics questions can be resolved by checking the source, date, time zone, location, order state, and user permission in that order.
A sales value is zero
- Choose a range that includes the order creation date.
- Check the business time zone in Settings.
- Remove or change the location filter.
- Confirm the order is paid, Cash on Delivery, or completed/refunded Point of Sale.
- Confirm the order was not cancelled.
Total sales is lower than expected
Completed refunds are subtracted on their settlement date. Check whether the selected period contains refunds for older orders. Also confirm you are not comparing product merchandise value, gross processor payments, or a Google/Meta attribution report with StoreMink net Total sales.
A customer or product card ignores the date range
Total customers and Products listed are current snapshots. They describe the store now and intentionally do not change with the date range or show a comparison delta.
A card is missing
- Open Edit dashboard and search the card library.
- Check whether your role has permission for the underlying area.
- Check whether your account is restricted to a location.
- Check whether the feature is included in the store's plan.
- Ask StoreMink support whether the analytics module is currently enabled.
A report or CSV export is unavailable
Only Total sales, Sales over time, Top products, and Google Search queries currently have detailed reports. Reports and exports can also be disabled independently of the overview dashboard.
Google Search shows collecting or no data
Search performance is delayed and recent days can be incomplete. Use a range ending several days ago, confirm the storefront is publicly launched, and wait for the next scheduled import. Google can also hide rare queries, so visible query rows may not add up to the summary.
The dashboard is slow in local development
A page can be slow the first time it is opened after a release, so refresh once before reporting it. If a page is repeatedly slow, send StoreMink support the store, the page, the filters you selected, roughly how long it took, and a screenshot.
An error remains
Refresh the page once and try a simpler date range. If the problem continues, contact StoreMink support with:
- the store domain;
- the Analytics page or report name;
- the selected date range and location;
- the exact error message;
- the time it happened and a screenshot.
Do not send passwords, payment card details, Google account credentials, or Meta account credentials.
