Add your first product and check the storefront

A product needs clear customer information and a valid selling price before it is useful. Add one complete product first, check it on the storefront, and then use the same pattern for the rest of the catalogue.

Create the product

1. From the dashboard, open Products.
2. Select Add product.
3. Enter a clear title and description.
4. Add the selling price. Cost per unit appears only when the store is on Pro and StoreMink has enabled gross-margin analytics; add it there when available.
5. Upload useful images and choose the appropriate category and colour information.
6. Add variants when customers need choices such as size or colour.
7. Save the product, note its permanent StoreMink SKU, and add an editable supplier barcode when your team uses one.

Set inventory behaviour

• Turn on inventory tracking when StoreMink should limit sales to recorded stock.
• Enter stock at the correct location and variant.
• Set a low-stock threshold if you want an earlier warning.
• Allow backorders only when the business can accept orders beyond current stock.

Older carts are checked again at checkout. StoreMink can reduce or remove a cart line when live stock changed, and the final stock claim still prevents overselling.

Check the customer view

1. Select My Store.
2. Open the Shop and select the new product.
3. Check the title, images, price, variant choices, stock message, quantity controls, delivery check, and Add to cart action.
4. Repeat the check at a narrow mobile width.

If the product is missing or cannot be bought

• Confirm the product was saved and is available to the storefront.
• Check that the selected variant exists and has a valid price.
• Check live stock, inventory tracking, and backorder settings at the fulfilment location.
• If a shopper kept an old cart open, ask them to refresh so it can reconcile with current stock.
